The UMKC pre-pharmacy program is a two- to three-year course of study in preparation to apply for entry into the UMKC Doctor of Pharmacy program.
The Pharm.D. program at UMKC is an accredited, full-time, four-year program. Graduates of the program take the licensing exams after commencement. After passing the exams, they can then practice as a generalist pharmacist in a wide array of health care settings, or complete postgraduate residency, fellowship or Ph.D. training. Students may attend the program at one of our three campus sites — Kansas City, Columbia or Springfield.

UMKC Pharm.D. students may complete coursework that will set them apart when preparing for residencies and the workforce. You can complete these courses as part of your Pharm.D. electives or as part of coordinated programs.
The IPh.D. program, administered by the School of Graduate Studies at UMKC, offers two pharmacy degrees.
