Stephanie Schauner

Assistant Director of Experiential Learning / Clinical Associate Professor

Biography

I graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy in May 2006. After graduation I completed a one-year general pharmacy practice and administration residency at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. During my residency I was involved in two different research projects. One focused on adult immunization practices at a multi-specialty outpatient clinic and the other focused on the utilization of TPN within the hospital setting.

After completing my residency, I accepted a clinical assistant professor position with the UMKC School of Pharmacy. I was promoted to clinical associate professor in 2013. My areas of expertise include: urinary tract infections, pregnancy/lactation and contraception and irritable bowel disease and syndrome. My practice site is Research Medical Center, where I work with family medicine residents and physicians seeing patients both on an inpatient and outpatient service.

In August 2022, I accepted the position of assistant director of experiential learning.
