Kylie Barnes
Director of Applied Skills and OSCE Implementation / Clinical Professor
Biography
Kylie Barnes received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon graduation, she completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency in pharmacy practice at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, and an ASHP accredited PGY2 residency program in ambulatory care and academia, with an emphasis in women’s health at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Dr. Barnes is credentialed as a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist, and has served as a clinical specialist in high-risk obstetrics, where she cared for patients throughout their pregnancy.
Dr. Barnes also serves as the Director of Applied Skills and OSCE Implementation, where she oversees the applied skills lab series and clinical simulation within the curriculum. She teaches various topics in Pharmacotherapy, and serves as a course coordinator and lab facilitator within the applied skills lab course series. Her scholarly interests include women’s health, pregnancy and lactation, implementation of OSCEs and teaching OSCEs within the curriculum, and teaching and assessment within applied skills labs.
