School of
Pharmacy

We are #RooReady for fall semester classes. Learn more about the UMKC response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and get the latest updates and safety information from the CDC.

Engage with current faculty and practicing pharmacists, view experiments in the lab and interact with current students to find out what it’s like to be a pharmacy student at UMKC.

Interested in an exciting, constantly changing career in health? Join us for a one-day, fun-filled pharmacy camp in June!

  • Get interactive while making actual medicine in the compounding lab, that you’ll take home.
  • Hear from community pharmacists about their daily roles!
  • Hear from clinical pharmacists in specialty practices such as oncology, pediatrics, cardiology, emergency room, and more!
  • Hear from School of Pharmacy faculty and students about what it is like to be a member of UMKC at all three locations.

Dates

The camps are tentatively scheduled for:
  • June 4 – Columbia (Mizzou campus)
  • June 18 – Springfield (MSU downtown Brick City campus)
  • June 25 – Kansas City (UMKC downtown Health Sciences campus)

Eligibility

  • Students who have completed 9th grade or higher at time of camp
  • College students or adults looking for a career change are encouraged to attend!

Cost

  • Typically it is $35 per camper
  • One guest can attend for $15 (guests will not take part in the compounding or clinical skills portion of the camp)

The camp registration will go live in March 2021. Official dates and costs will be released then. Please click this button to be notified when the registration goes live!

I had a great experience at UMKC Pharmacy Camp! I loved meeting future pharmacy students, the compounding lab and listening to faculty talk about what it's like to be a pharmacist.
