Research Summit

The Health Sciences Student Research Summit is BACK

It will be held ONLINE!

Students: May 18 2020, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Open for Judges: 3 days – May 18-20

There are two options to present your research:

(1) A standard poster – the PowerPoint poster template
(2) A 7-minute recorded verbal PowerPoint presentation – the Verbal Template

Registration deadline:  May 11 via Redcap
Posters/PowerPoint deadline: May 14 via Box

Health Sciences Student Research Summit The UMKC Health Sciences Research Summit enables members of the UMKC health sciences community to display poster presentations in a forum that:

  • Highlights the health sciences research being conducted in the UMKC Schools of Biological Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Health Studies, Pharmacy, and Computing and Engineering;
  • Fosters research collaborations across disciplines and schools that will produce economic, health, education and quality-of-life benefits for the greater Kansas City community.

Judging of Student Posters/Presentations
  • Poster presenters or Powerpoint presenters DO NOT need to be online on May 18.
  • Posters and pre-recorded Powerpoint presentations will be posted online on May 18 so that the research community can log in and view all of the research presentations.
  • Judges will view their assigned presentation online and post-questions online for each presentation. Students will have 24 hours to answer the questions.
