Shelly has made her career about helping UMKC pharmacy students succeed. Getting her start with the School of Pharmacy immediately after completing her baccalaureate degree from UMKC, she has stayed close to Pharmacy Student Affairs ever since and also went on to complete her Master of Science degree in higher education from the University of Kansas. She advises both pre-pharmacy and Pharm.D. students, is the advisor for the UMKC Pre-Pharmacy Society, co-advisor for the Pharmacy Student Council, while also enjoying programmatic development, assessment and event planning. Shelly has two sons and loves doing anything with them and her husband of 30+ years, especially if it is outdoors or involves home-baked cookies or cinnamon rolls!
