Dr. Bzowyckyj received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in 2009. He then completed the two-year Pharmaceutical Care Leadership Residency offered by the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in Minneapolis, MN. His residency specialized in ambulatory care practice, academia, practice site development, policy development, legislative advocacy, and general philosophies regarding leading change. Dr. Bzowyckyj’s current practice site is in The Diabetes Center at Truman Medical Center – Hospital Hill. He currently teaches in a variety of courses including Health Assessment & Pharmacotherapy II, Professional Skills IV (Professional & Patient Communication), Introduction to Pharmacy Policy Analysis and Pharmacy Seminar. He also precepts students enrolled in General Medicine I (IPPE) and General Medicine II (APPE) clinical experiences. He is currently an advisor for the UMKC chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP).

Research Interests
Endocrine and metabolic disorders, incorporation of professional advocacy into pharmacy curricula, advancing pharmacist involvement in the provision of team-based care of chronic conditions, medication management and utilization of process improvement to enhance health outcomes.
