Letter from Alumni Board President

Cydney McQueenDid you know that as a graduate of the UMKC School of Pharmacy, you are automatically a member of both the UMKC Alumni Association and the Pharmacy Alumni Association? Welcome to the family! There is nothing extra you have to do in order to take advantage of all privileges, programs, and events.

As President of the UMKC Pharmacy Alumni Board, I do hope that you stay connected to the School of Pharmacy. Every year, the Pharmacy Alumni Board plans activities and programs to support both alumni and current students in multiple ways. The Pharmacy Alumni Reunion Weekend, featuring Pharmacy Alumni and Preceptor Awards, and the student Career Fair happen every year. Other popular have included the Tigeroo Tailgate on the MU campus, Cardinals Game Night in Springfield, the Wine and Beer Tasting Event, and Pharmacy Student Appreciation Day. The Alumni Association also helps support The Pharmacy Foundation Golf Tournament each year to raise funds for student scholarships and travel funds.

For 2018-2019, the Pharmacy Alumni Board is working hard on bringing some new programming for alumni events, such as a leadership and management training series specific to our pharmacy world and active involvement in the Pharmacy Foundation’s “Top Golf” fun day. This fall…..get ready for serious competition and silliness at Trivia Night!

On behalf of the members of the UMKC Pharmacy Alumni Board, I encourage and welcome your involvement in the activities and programs of both UMKC and the Pharmacy Alumni Association. Feel free to contact the Alumni Office at the UMKC School of Pharmacy at 816-235-2409 for more information on how you can become more involved in your alma mater. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming UMKC Alumni event.

Sincerely,

Cydney E. McQueen, PharmD (Class of 1999)
