Tragedies Inspire Student to Start Operation Self Care

According to the CDC, only about 17 percent of U.S. adults are considered to be in a state of optimal mental health. Based on this statistic, it is likely that someone around you has been affected by a mental health condition, whether it is your parent, sibling, neighbor or friend.

Kimberly Ehrhard, a third-year pharmacy student, set out to achieve this mission and has launched a new, chapter-specific patient care initiative called Operation Self Care. This is the story about what brought the inspiration to create this initiative and the determination to make a difference within the community.
