About

Angela Brownfield is a clinical professor with the UMKC School of Pharmacy. She is located on the MU campus where she instructs in the following team-taught courses: Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, Pharmacotherapy I – Self-Care and Nonprescription Medications, and Patient-Centered Communication and Ethical Practice. Angela is also the course coordinator for summer Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (community and health system IPPEs) and serves as a regional coordinator for General Medicine I and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs).  She also precepts fourth-year pharmacy students in an academic and administrative clerkship.

In 1994, Angela graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. In 1998, she received her Pharm.D. from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. For approximately 12 years, she practiced community pharmacy in the Columbia area. In 2011, she accepted the position of assistant director of experiential learning with the UMKC School of Pharmacy where she is responsible for practice site development and monitoring of the experiential components of the Pharm.D. curriculum.  In July 2022, she was promoted to the position of director of experiential learning.
