Interview at the UMKC School of Pharmacy
A formal, on-site interview will be scheduled at the UMKC School of Pharmacy campus in Kansas City for select applicants. Invited applicants should plan on spending a full morning for planned activities. Early Decision applicants selected for the interview will have the ability to interview Kansas City or Springfield on October 5 and in Kansas City or Columbia on October 12. The interview will be scheduled by the School of Pharmacy and is a required component of the application process.
Please see the Admissions Timeline Calendar for the upcoming on-site interview dates.
The selection process for the interview is based on a multifaceted review process and the qualifications of the applicant pool. Factors considered include: all application materials submitted, collegiate scholastic achievement, collegiate science and math achievement, results of the PCAT, complexity of previous college work completed, reference, and recent leadership (including, but not limited to, campus and community involvement, health care and/or supervisory experience, honors and awards). Applicants selected for an interview will receive e-mail notification regarding details. Applicants not selected will receive written notice.
Applicants should be aware that admission is competitive and meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an interview. Since completed applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early in the application process and not wait until the application deadline.
