Angela Brownfield is a clinical assistant professor with the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Pharmacy. She is located on the MU campus where she instructs in the following team taught courses: Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, Pharmacotherapy I – Self-Care and Nonprescription, and IPPE I & II. Angela also co-coordinates Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences in the first through third years of the curriculum and precepts fourth-year pharmacy students in an academic and administrative clerkship.
In 1994, Angela graduated from the University of Missouri–Columbia with a BA in interdisciplinary studies. In 1998, she received her Pharm.D. from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. For approximately 12 years, she practiced community pharmacy in the Columbia area. In 2011, she accepted the position of assistant director of experiential education with the UMKC School of Pharmacy, where she is responsible for practice site development and monitoring of the experiential components of the Pharm.D. curriculum. Her current research interests include experiential education, assessment, and layered learning.
