Denise L Woolf, B.S., is a Research Associate and maintains an academic appointment in University of Missouri School of Pharmacy Drug Information Center. Denise joined the UMKC Drug Information Center team in September of 2000. Denise worked 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry with Aventis Pharmaceutical, Inc. She developed and administrated a legacy system in R&D, specifically the Drugs Under Development database that tracked over 50 thousand drug entities in various developmental stages. Having received a Microsoft Certified Engineer in Networking 4.0, she assumed a corporate role in industry, implementing and administrating recruiting technology for Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Her greatest accomplishment in that role resulted in international recognition for collaborative activities that resulted in filling 800 pharmaceutical sales representative positions in a 6 month period using 1.5 full time equivalent resources. She was an invited member and presenter in international and regional recruiting technology meetings. Denise is the Administrative Coordinator of the Evidence Based Medicine Course for the School of Pharmacy. Her research interests include identifying the best delivery practices of distance education instruction, course pedagogue and identifying self-study tutorial design opportunities for pharmacy students. Denise is a recent inductee of the Women’s Leadership Council of the Society Competitive Intelligence Professionals having participated in leadership roles for that association since 2001.
